Your HumbleYourCore gear is built to last — but like any premium product, it performs best when cared for properly. Follow these simple guidelines to keep your mats, towels, and apparel looking and feeling their best, session after session.

🧘 Yoga & Pilates Mats

After Every Session

  • Wipe down with a damp cloth or mat spray — a mix of water and a few drops of tea tree oil works well
  • Allow to air dry completely before rolling up — never store a damp mat
  • Roll loosely with the top side facing out to maintain shape

Deep Cleaning

  • Hand wash with mild soap and lukewarm water
  • Gently scrub with a soft cloth or sponge — avoid abrasive brushes
  • Rinse thoroughly and hang to dry flat in a shaded, well-ventilated area
  • Never machine wash, tumble dry, or expose to direct sunlight for extended periods

Storage

  • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
  • Use a mat bag or strap to protect the surface during transport
  • Avoid folding — always roll your mat

🛁 Yoga Towels

Washing

  • Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with mild, fragrance-free detergent
  • Wash separately or with similar colours for the first few washes
  • Do not use fabric softener — it reduces the towel's grip and absorbency
  • Do not bleach

Drying

  • Tumble dry on low heat, or hang to air dry
  • Avoid high heat — it can damage microfiber fibres over time
  • The towel's grip improves after the first few washes

👕 Apparel

General Care

  • Machine wash cold, inside out, on a gentle cycle
  • Use a mild, sport-specific or fragrance-free detergent
  • Do not use fabric softener — it breaks down performance fibres
  • Do not bleach or dry clean

Drying

  • Air dry flat or hang to dry in the shade
  • Tumble dry on low if needed — avoid high heat
  • Do not iron directly on printed or embroidered areas

Specific Fabric Notes

  • Recycled polyester / nylon blends: Wash in a microfibre laundry bag to reduce microplastic shedding
  • Bamboo or natural fibre blends: Wash on a delicate cycle and air dry to preserve softness
  • Compression fabrics: Always air dry — heat degrades elasticity over time
